 Airless Systems Ltd has an enviable reputation in the design and manufacture of internationally patented industrial dryers and processors for organic and inorganic materials such as fruit, vegetables, animal feed, biomass, ceramics, refractories, wood and crop wastes, scrap tyres, vehicle frag, contaminated metals, solid wastes and sludges.

RO-2 (“Airless”) Thermal Processing Technology is an internationally patented method of drying (torrefaction process) which uses dry superheated steam at atmospheric pressure, as the heating medium, capable of performing any drying process. By adopting this technology, the end-product result will be as the following:

•     A  stable moisture content of less than 3%

•   Hydrophobic conditions: i.e. does not reabsorb moisture 

•     Retention of 90% of original materials energy content

•   Removal of the smoke producing agents in the biomass material

•   An increased heating value of 21 to 22.5 Mj /kg

•   Product friability , i.e. can be easily crumbled or pulverized.
